Your Hosts

Graham, born in England, came to NZ in 1973. A furniture upholsterer by trade, he is now semi- retired. After many years of having successful businesses in the UK and NZ, he now is happy to spend time fly fishing and getting to know our guests. Many an hour has been spent, on the stream bank, swapping tips and telling tales.

Lyndsay, a kiwi, enjoys home decorating……..a skill learned with Graham in their furniture business, helping customers with colours and fabrics, This is shown throughout the home, with the tasteful décor and furnishings. Also, a great cook………breakfasts are legendary.

We can tell you the best fishing spots, the favourite attractions, the magical places, and the best eateries and wines.

We are happy to be able to offer accommodation options . . . fully hosted BED and BREAKFAST in our well appointed  WAI MOTU and WAI MOANA rooms, or self-contained/self-catering in our LAKESIDE MOKOIA APARTMENT.

Depending on the length of your holiday, many guests do like to alternate between the two styles of accommodation.   Choosing to self-cater for a few nights every so often, gives you a chance to relax more, eat in, sleep in, and take time out from the usual fast pace of holiday travelling.

Our BED and BREAKFAST rooms are on the second floor of our home.

The MOKOIA APARTMENT is on the ground floor.

Testimonials

  • Everything Lyndsay and Graham do, they do exquisitely. The location of their home couldn’t be nicer. The view from the guest lounge is overwhelming and beautiful. The décor and accommodations are elegant and comfortable. Everything you desire is provided. Lyndsay’s culinary talents are superb and the trout Graham caught and smoked for us was outstanding. We could have stayed forever.

  • We booked for 1 night, possibly 2. We were made so welcome and treated like royalty we asked to stay a third night, but ended up staying 4. Breakfast was a wonder, with a different fruit dish each day. Cooked breakfast was just what you wanted and cooked to your liking. Last drink of the day, on the house, with our hosts Lyndsay and Graham.
