ROTORUA

ROTORUA, is the main tourist town in NEW ZEALANDS North Island

famously known as an amazing geothermal wonderland and adventure destination.Where else can you see boiling mud pools, erupting geysers, steaming hot waterfalls and pools, stunning forests, mountains, volcanoes, caves, idyllic beaches, gentle streams, wild life parks . . . all within about an hour’s drive.

For the adventurers and thrill seekers, the options are endless. Worlds famous mountain biking, white water rafting, black water rafting, bungy jumping, jet boats, paragliding, abseiling . . . the list goes on . . .

At least three night stay is always recommended for ROTORUA.  That gives two full days to experience some of what this amazing thermal area offers, or stay longer and use ROTORUA as a base for longer day trips.

Taupo, Hobbiton (Lord of the Rings), Tauranga and Mt Manganui, only an hour’s drive away.  Waitomo caves, Whakatane, Tongariro National Park . . . all within a two hour drive.

ROTORUA is also the spiritual home of our indigenous MAORI people.  This is where you can experience their culture and hear their songs and legends.  MAORI EXPERIENCE evenings have become a “must do”.
